It's not a bad a journey as people think though. It's not much further up the M6 than when we went to Accrington.

i wanna go, but there's no way i'm going on a coach. I'm probably driving and staying overnight if your up for it. Fred's in as well I think. Not the way my fucking piles are at the moment !!!! :? Can hardly walk up the fucking stairs, yet alone sit in a car for 36 hours solid

Not significant, but far enough... 271 miles from Swindon to Carlisle. 4 Hours and 9 minutes (MapQuest clearly doesn't know about the M6...)
