Good Afternoon

We have been suffering with injuries again this week. Jamie Vincent and Sam Collins both sustained injuries against Gillingham and have been receiving treatment this week. Lee Peacock and Craig Easton have come back into training this morning which has been a big boost to us.
Andy Nicholas and Barry Corr both played for the reserves on Tuesday and they will both be in contention for a place in Saturday's squad. Hasney Aljofree has been training for the past two days and he is also in contention for Saturday. He is a great reader of the game and it would be great to have him back. He wouldn't be at his fittest, but again that's something we would have to make a decision on. Under the circumstances, we may have to make those decisions because of the injuries we have. All football clubs have their injury troubles but hopefully we can get over our situation as soon as possible. We have to choose our bench carefully too because Phil Smith has missed some training too. Some people will get their opportunity and it will be up to those players to grab their chance. I may have to take a massive gamble on one or two, but that's something I will be thinking about overnight. It's a big game this weekend and hopefully the adrenaline will get one or two of them through.
In terms of the squad we have there may be some movement next week in terms of players going out, whether that be on a loan basis or finishing their contracts. As I have said before the squad is top heavy. I will be talking to several players over the next few days to make sure they know their situation. Running at the loss this club does, we cannot carry the number of players we do. I will be cutting down the squad but not to the detriment of the team; that I must stress.
A lot has been happing off the pitch recently, but what I can say is that I came to Swindon Town Football Club after listening to the visions of Mike Diamandis and the Wills Family. Their job has been unjustly criticized in my view because there are not many people who would have put the amount of money into the club as they have. Things are moving on now and I whilst people will say I shouldn't get involved, I have observed and had to comment. I won't be opening up on this subject again but I am very hopeful that this weekend, before and during the game the fans' focus remains on backing the team to victory.
Tranmere Rovers will be a test for us. They have a big, strong side and have a good experience manager in Ronnie Moore. It's a difficult game to come back into and I am anticipating a tight game. Tranmere are a side who know how to play away from home, as their league position suggests.
We have had a two-week lay-off but I am very hopeful that we have rallied the troops and with the support of our fans, I believe we can come out with the result we need.

Enjoy the game.

I thought he said he came to Swindon because we were the first to offer him a job. Other than that, a great manager, couldn't give 2 shits about his opinion in off field matters.

Sturrock

Please shut up, you had my sympathy this week with your appeal, now just leave it yeah, let it drop.

Your constant bigging up of the board when you have only been here 2 minutes is really starting to get on my tits.

We have done what you have asked, now you deliver the goods. and FFS keep to the job in hand......................manage the fucking football team.

Believe you me, if things start going a bit smelly this week we will be taking things to PV and major major shit for the Donny game

to be honest i would be more concerned if he didnt have an opinion on off field matters.

he's in an awkward position where he's frustrated as hell about this takeover, but at the end of the day is employed by these people.

I sympathise Lebowski but its wearing thin with me now.

He's spouting of like some authoritative figure when hes been here less that a year.

Sorry mate but I don't buy it, do what you are employed to do and manage the football team

to be fair to the man, he has said that he's going to hush his gums on the subject now.

a wise decision, i think we can agree on that.
