Lets not get ahead of ourselves fellas.....if by the end of the season we still have something left which we can identify as STFC, then it will be a bonus.

   The division is immaterial.
Wise words Reg, wise words indeed!

Corr won't even get a look in at the moment! Paynter and Cox are a great partnership.

Unbelievable how things can be so positive and so dire, all at the same time.

For what its worth, this team is top draw. Far more complete than the 03-04 team.

On the flip side we are running into the ground. What can you say?  :|

Its a weird feeling....my opinion, is that we're very much living on borrowed time....we have a decent squad, and a decent manager, but I expect that to change fairly sharpish.   The ground we are being run into is quicksand.

If we do come out of it with any positives, then it will be because of luck.

We are on borrowed time. Not really your opinion Reg, its a financial fact.

Writing was on the wall months ago when they said they werent going to pay the CVA.

God only knows what is going to happen to us. But one things for sure. Things cant go on as they are.

On the pitch I think we'll finish somewhere between 6th and 12th, which is much more optimistic that i was at the start of the year I must say! Play-offs will be difficult to reach - you have to remember we haven't played many teams near the top of this division yet!

If we are to see any effects of the financial trouble then the play-offs will be nothing more than a dream

We played Swansea who i think will go up automatic and although we did lose 2-1, I don't think we were outplayed, infact far from it.

Leeds, Forest and Swansea are the big 3.

still too early to say, but it's worth noting that the teams we've beaten are all in the bottom half.

in fact we've only played 2 teams from the top half, and lost to both of them.

But two of the teams tipped for promotion in Millwall and Luton have both lost to us so who's to say we're not actually one of the big teams in this division.

As we all know we have looked organised at the back and up top we look like we can terrorise teams - I doubt there are many teams that are really going to scare like we can.

I seriously think the only thing we have to fear is ourselves - if the players go out and stick to the game plan and attack like they can then why shouldn't play-offs be realistic.

As has been said though it is still too early because we don't know whether we're coming or going as far as the boardroom is concerned and whether Sturrock will be able to keep going like he is if the takeover does go ahead.

We ***could*** win this league, but we probably won't. Playoffs is more than a realistic aim.

Yes they are - but before the season started they were tipped to do well, if teams like that were supposed to be the better ones then it's going to be less fancied teams that actually do well - like us. Smiley
