Very funny... Agree with Reg though and have to say that in my opinion this obsession(?) with Gillingham is laugable.
Been to Gillingham on a couple of occassions and all 3 playoff games and I was either looking the other way, have a poor memory (possibly) or cannot remember any trouble.

However, any London club, Portsmouth, Oxford, City, Sheff Utd etc in the 70's & 80's in the town end, magic roundabout etc and you are talking about a different story. Have I forgotten anybody else?

I went to all the play off games, and the 79 game as well as the christmas game at Priestfield and there was trouble at those games like I have never ever seen in 30 odd years of following Swindon, how the hell you could say you missed all the bottles and bricks being thrown INSIDE the ground is beyond me, the place is evil and so are the supporters with their hatred of us.

On many accounts that away fixture in 1986 is the worst violence ever inside the ground at a Swindon match.

Thats probably the only remarkable thing about Jills.

The Christmas game referred to above was in the afternoon, and deffo not a school night. I still remember embellishing the details after a couple of snakebites at a 6th form disco at Witney Rugby Club that night.

There were plenty of Jills in our end, and it did get nasty but not for long - inside the ground at least it was nowhere near the worst trouble I've ever seen.  Outside it was menacing but I didn't see or hear anything.

We ended up giving a lift home to one of Swindon's supposed 'finest' from the time who'd gone down for the trouble.....except he was too scared to go back on the train.  He perked up once we were back on the motorway, mind.
