I went to that Christmas 86 game. It's one of my favourites in a fearing for my life kind of way.

That was quite an amusing read I have to say. Interesting to see that they liked Lester Shapter about as much as we used to! He was one God awful referee :? Those Gillingham play off games were utter quality

Jills fans really are some sad twats...half the stuff they ratlle on about never happened....back in the 70's early 80's, it was fairly common for there to be trouble off the field. Stuff against the Jills was pretty mild.....I recall posting this pic from 80, which gives a flavour of the sort of anarchy that could reign for a big game at the CG....when you'd have to have your head clear, or get it kicked in. http://www.thetownend.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2752&highlight=spencer+white

Remember that game, not as scary as wolves away in the semi or eastville, seems like every other game back then was like that!

I liked this bit: Famous Fans
Pure evil through and through, past season ticket holders have included Harold Shipman, Peter Sutcliffe, Ian Huntley and Wee Willie Carson.
Are they trying to say something about Carson?

I like their rise to stardom with their amazing year of being on the telly 'twice'.

I don't hate them at all, but what a cock. If he thinks Swindon is one o the most fearful events on the football calender then he needs to get out more.

Carson would never have a season ticket - were not on TV enough for him to attend!
Huntley a town fan? what the fuck
And they hate McMahon - hope he gets the job
