A tidy win away, but more to the point we did not (At least from the highlights, play well) A great hint towards a good team!!

But for those 2 draws against Chelt and Crewe which if we had have had Paynter and Cox up front we would have won comfortably we would now be sat in 2nd  Cheesy  Cheesy

He is a hard man to impress, he has his players respect and is always honest with them, at least he never speaks BS and is always honest unlike previous managers

First half wasn't great football but we were the better team and looked reasonably comfortable bar the odd moment. In the second half we were falling to pieces and the goal came from general stupidity in defence rather than being caught out I think. They piled pressure on us but Smity did well to keep a few chances out and then the Beast scored a goal almost as good as the one against Walsall to seal the points.

Overall it wasn't a great performance at all but Smith, Ifil and Collins did quite well on the whole. Cox worked his arse off but nothing much came from it as Paynter didn't seem to be having a great day. An away win is always good and that'll do for me!

Hmmm, that was tense - think I aged a couple of years inthat game.  Second half was an absolute shambles, Vincent was very poor in the 2nd half IMO.

Collins was good, Smith was inspired between the sticks - midfield was shocking - deffo the right choice to bring Pook in to make it a three in midfield.

Cox looked much less determined than usual - one moment in particular he was miles offside when he was Paynter's only option but made no effort whatsever to get back onside, which for me was just plain ignorance.

All in, didn't really enjoy that, but I'll take the 3 points and run home happy thank-you very much.  Up to 6th now!

I thought Paynter was superb today-strength power held the ball up brought others into the game-I thought he was a real handful

I guess everybody sees a game differently!
You're right in that he wins the ball and keeps possession well but he didn't seem too effective to me today - perhaps because our midfield was non-existant most of the game and didn't give him enough support

Flat, dull, uninteresting game. Thanks for the points though.
