I hope all of you making comments on this thread are also e-mailing them to Ben Lambert as well. If you haven't, please do so.

Quick update - received a response from Ben this morning, nothing really to report except an apology for the lack of service on Saturday and that he has forwarded my complaint direct to PTV - I now have a name at PTV rather than sending e-mails to their Customer Service department, which on Saturday was useless.
I'll keep you all updated on what I find out.

Interesting post from hogface on ThisIs I've posted it elsewhere too but here's the response I had about the lack of coverage on Saturday from Premium TV -
"We are sorry for the lack of Swindon Town commentary at the weekend.
The club is responsible for choosing the radio station to provide the commentary. The radio station is responsible for connecting to Premium TV by landline and Premium TV is responsible for streaming the commentary on the internet.
Unfortunately on Saturday the radio station did not dial in to Premium TV. Premium TV tried to contact the radio station and the club without success, so a share of the Millwall feed was provided rather than nothing." I heard nothing direct from PTV, so I'll treat this as a rumour for now. Makes sense though, and I've asked Ben to confirm or deny that this was the cause of Saturday's problem.

If that's true it is absolutely pitiful - this is supposed to be their big marketing opportunity and they don't even check they are connecting to the outside world. They want all the benefits of an exclusive deal but couldn't give a shit about the responsibility of providing an excellent service that comes with it. There were plenty of time Ed and Shaun made me grind my teeth with angst but at least they were genuinely enthusiastic about getting the show on the road and treated it as the most important programme on BBC Swindon

OK, so just where we know where we are, reckon we should maintain the following - I don't listen as often as I used to when I was abroad, but it was pretty crap then too. The problems I know about/can remember at the moment are only these (think I listened to the Crewe game too), but on just this evidence I think they owe me at least 25% of my subscription back. August Sat 11 15:00 A Northampton Town Sat 18 15:00 H Luton Town no STFC commentary Sat 25 15:00 A Cheltenham Town September Sat 1 15:00 H Crewe Alexandra cuts out every few minutes Sun 9 16:00 H Yeovil Town Sat 15 15:00 A Hartlepool one clueless commentator Sat 22 15:00 H Bournemouth Sat 29 15:00 A Millwall no STFC commentary

West Wiltshire is supposed to get the live commentry through Brunels sister station 3TR. I can't get a decent signal at the best of times but on saturday there was no commentry at all. Fucking disgrace. So now we in WW have been shafted.

Add to that there was only one commentator for Hartlepool (no co-commentator) who was appalling to boot.
Melksham Red - e-mail your complaint to Ben Lambert. seriously, do it as he seems to want to gauge opinions. If you read my post above (posted this morning at 1:02 am) it seems to explain why the commentary wasn't streamed to the internet, but if they didn't stream it to their sister station, thats outrageous.

I told him how shite the service and signal is in my email, but that was before saturday. I will email him again regarding the no show. The thing is, even when 3TR are covering games I can never get a decent signal anyway. They only broadcast from Warminster FFS.

Well, I can't believe the club are still believing that Brunel's signal goes as far as Bath - it can hardly make Chippenham!!! 3TR never in a million years "covers West Wiltshire".

Maybe Mikey D was getting confused as he can pick up the signal when he is in the bath... although I would also imagine his bath would have to be pretty big, especially widthways, so find it hard to believe he receives it 100% of the time
