Does anyone else find it ominous that Luggy makes no mention of the takeover in his Tuesday update. In all of his latest statements he has harped on about meeting the new people but today no mention at all Sad

I don't regard it as ominous, insofar as the Portugeezers and Little/Brevett's efforts, have done nothing to suggest the club would be passing into safe hands....in fact quite the reverse.

  Mmmmm yak cheese.

If the takeover does not go through we are back to square one (and probably worse off than before).

Exactly, the new consortium may not be evrything we had hoped for but at least the short term future of the club would be secured, if this takeover fails the club is in very precarious position and we still have MD calling the shots.

If we're back to square one, a long diagonal Jerel hoof should easily take us to square 8.

It's a good thing he hasn't talked about the takeover. It at least suggests he is not thinking of leaving just yet.

At least he didn't say he was ticked off.

When he says the word "revenue" it always sounds like a lot of money.

my sauces tell me the takeover has stalled over the CVA payment - they expect the old board to pay it .. the old board expect the new consortium to pay it .. Mikey D has fallen out with them over it - toys out of the pram .. Has to be wondered if this can be rectified .. where this leaves the club and the CVA payment god only knows ...

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I havent read any other threads yet

I cant see how this is the truth, in every interview little has done he has stated the new consortium will pay the CVA and I believe Paul Davis said that Little had said the same in their meeting with the trust so....

It has been covered Fatters, but I still fail to see how it can be because of the CVA. It was always on the agenda for whoever took over to pay as it was surely the straw that broke the camels (old boards) back and forced them into selling into the first place. Jim Little told the trust all debts would be cleared. He surely wouldn't backtrack on that? Then again he said a new stadium was not a priority, but it seems it is.

I could sort of understand the spanner being paying off Bill Powers money if the investors were told the writ was issued against the holding company but not the club. In fact it is against both. Either way the club seemed confident of defending the claim so what is the problem?

It's all speculation anyway, could be they are arguing about anything, or indeed nothing I suppose.

Reg, that origins of 'back to square 1' are uncertain with theories that it originates varying from football to snakes and ladders. Either way Jerels long diagonal hoof would just as likely take us to row Z.

i suppose the question that needs to be asked at this point is if bill power is still interested in taking over?

oh, to add to batch's list of "little porkies", he also said early on that there were no agents involved in the takeover, yet jose veiga is (or was) an agent of quite some profile and has to be considered part of the takeover.

or there could be no problem what so ever.... no one knows but the fact Sturrock wont talk about the takeover and apparently the new owners have not been seen for 2 weeks now makes you think....

Somethings obviously stalling the takeover, be it the cva or not. End of the day, us fans need a decision sooner rather later. Be it bad news or good news.

The last I heard was that Mike Wilkes said on a forum that the fans consortium was still in place. (We aren't going anywhere).
This was about 3 weeks ago.
The simple thing to do would be to sell to the fans consortium who WOULD pay the CVA. Trouble is that Diamandis hates the fans so much that he will see the club go under rather than sell to us fans. (He said as much in December).
Regarding the stumbling block, if I recall, the Amigo's consortium asked about Bill P's writ & were told that it was no problem & that "Mikey D was dealing with it".
Andronique is also increasingly looking a bigger idiot too. The creditors voted for a meeting, & he unilaterally cancelled iut because the CVA was going to be paid in weeks. My worry is not so much that the deal goes tits up, but that the fans consortium are not given the chance/ time to step in & save the club. particularly given Diamandis's stance.

I wouldn't read too much into Sturrock's refusal to talk about it - fact is, he's probably even more fed up with all the "will they won't they" speculation than the fans and has just decided to focus on what he can influence, the team.

Oh and in answer to lebowski I'd echo Phil's comments - the Fans' Consortium has not gone away and is still ready to pitch in if needed.
