About a year ago my brothers work van was reveresed into.He has since stopped working for that company about 6 or so months ago.He got a letter today asking him to attend court in Cambrdge which would mean losing a days pay and having to hire a car. This letter says (its from his old employer) that if he doesnt attend court he may be held liable for all costs.
So 2 questions?
Does anyone know if hes really liable or they are trying to put the frightners on him? They say its in his contract of employment (he was only there 3 months and never signed a permananet contract)
Does anyone know of a Sollicter in Swindon that might be able to help? all the of the many he has phoned only seem interested in Property and Personal Injury work

if he is in a union approach them first they may provide free legal advice.failing that, i'd go to the cab before shelling out on legal advice
