In todays Adver saying that there is nothing wrong with sporting director, general manager etc and how happy he would be working like that.

Then goes on to say oh and my contract is up in the summer i would love to manage swindon one day Cheesy

I thought that too Smiley I'm still not sure what the sporting director does other than 'long term football stuff.

There is nothing to say the Coach/Sporting Director style set-up wouldn't work in the UK, it's just a cultural thing and being able to get past that with everyone involved I guess.

I'd find it hard to believe it could work with someone used to the current system who is a Manager though because by it's very nature it would change his role - it has to.
