There.  I've said it.  The article below (in today's Adver) is rather illuminating.

http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/display.var.1698066.0.so_when_are_you_going_to_meet.php

This is the paragraph that caught my eye:

Little said he hoped to have the paperwork in place by "Monday or Tuesday" of last week to finalise BEST Holdings' acquisition of the club, but the American has not been available for comment since that deadline passed.

I'm genuinely starting to believe this deal has hit the buffers.  It doesn't feel right at all.  We should all be very worried.  And at the very least, there needs to be some form of vocal protest from the stands on Saturday's game.

A few for starters...

'One Paul Sturrock, there's only one Paul Sturrock.' etc

'Have you paid the CVA?  No.  No.' etc

'Who the f*** is José Veiga?  Who the f*** is José Veiga?' etc

'Who the f*** is Rufus Brevett?  Who the f*** is Rufus Brevett?' etc

Ardiles, what are you trying to say?

Is it Little's fault?

Or Diamandis & Co?

Maybe.  But if that's the best reason you can give for turning a blind eye, I'll be happy to sing a solo...if, indeed, I have to.

I haven't the faintest idea.  No one has.  I doubt even Sturrock knows the full extent of what is going on.

And that's my point.  It simply isn't acceptable to keep the fans in the dark any longer.  We need to know what is happening to our club and to a widely respected manager.  And if they don't play ball, we'll have to start making things uncomfortable for them until they do.

We can't look the other way while people whose names we hadn't even heard of a few months ago treat a much loved institution like STFC with so much disrespect.

Not true.  If there is a group of people out there who are able to give the club a future, then good luck to them.  I just wish they would get on with it and stop cocking everyone around.

I'm not protesting but if I'm within shouting distance of the 3 amigo's on saturday (Brevett, Little, Veiga) I will ask them a few questions, from a concerned Swindon fan.

were we not supposed to be hacving an AGM this month with lots of shiney new accounts being signed off with the usual Adverse Opinion?

Maybe the new chaps were using credit to buy us and as even Northern Rock can't get that right now from normal sources they might have had a bit of trouble stumping up the readies.  There must be loads of cash floating around right now though, we should tap up Northern Rock customers and pretend to be a stable business they can invest their savings in.  Just 1% of the £2bn would do I think.

October was the target month. And to be fair, the club accounts are usually only qualified (ie may be unreliable) - it's the holding co accounts that get the adverse opinions (ie these accounts are a complete crock).
