In todays adver he says "I would rather be on the bench as a midfielder than be upfront as a makeshift striker"

Bit of a weird comment to make dont you think :?

Very odd, perhaps he now has a midfield mentality and knows he wont cut it up front?

Perhaps he's thinking of his performance levels when playing up front? If he is up front and struggling then he will be worried about being dropped altogether

No player usually strays from the "i want to play, so i'll play anywhere" comments, so this is a bit strange.

He Blatentely knows Cox and Paynter are better as will Corr be when hes back.

Hes just trying to cover his own back if hes dropped to the bench.

Sounds like a fair comment to me.....Like has been said, he obviously knows he's lost the attacking mentality a striker needs and feels he is more suited to a midfield role, which is true.
He's very effective in the centre of midfield and knows he won't just be able to walk into the team, what with the way both Pook and Easton are playing.

I'd rather see Peacock play in place of Pook, due to knowing Peacock is more consistent than Pook and is the more creative of the two, but then Pook hasn't done much wrong so far and has been superb, so deserves his place in the team.

I don't understand why he would even be considered for a starting place upfront now anyway? We have 6 strikers and that's not including him.
