It's political correctness gone mad.
A phrase generally used by people that read Richard Littlejohn's column, think Jim Davidson is hilarious, and are scared of Johnny foreigner, gays, vegetarians, anti war campaigners, drugs, beards, any religion apart from christianity, people that think hunting is for wankers, etc etc ...AND YOU'RE PAYING FOR IT! 'the people's princess' is the most repellent phrase ever coined by the british press Wasn't that coined by Tony Blair ? not sure, it's a daily express favourite. It was Tony blair. i knew there was a reason i didn't like him Wasn't it Alastair Campbell that took the credit for that phrase?

Y'know, what I hate most is when people like start a thread about one little stupid thing that annoys them and then like encourage everybody else to follow in a similar fashion.

One of the most ridiculous sayings has to be when referring to a dog
'its bark's worse than its bite'
Although I have never been bitten by a dog I am struggling to envisage a situation whereby even the most aggresive of barks is going to cause me more pain than being bitten by a creature with sharp teeth.

To be fair, if I'm honest, no disrespect...
I also hate expressions that get dragged up in meetings, like "Blue sky thinking" or if someone doesn't want to discuss something in the open "can we take this offline?"

Using the phrase "FACT!" when you are, in fact, describing an opinion.
