I used to go to the Brunel rooms around 12 years ago I guess. Used to like it at the time but it was certainly a place where you had to dress a certain way. Not been in since an "old times sake" visit before I got married in 2000. I'm amazed it's carried on since the 70's with little or no structural change.
I hate the Appts, anywhere that refuses to sell pints is not worth attending in my book. Even some of the expensive places in London still offer you the choice of a good pint if you don't fancy the G&T.
I'd campaign for the return of Bar Cuba if I could. Slightly quirky, decent drink, relaxed atmosphere etc.

I haven't been to Brunel for years.
I used to have a pretty good time in there though, especially sundays, a good end to four days of binge drinking.

they now sell pints in the apartment The abuse I hurled at that seems to have paid off then. Have they got anyone playing the piano they had in there? I made mention of my dissapointment upon paying £6 to enter the place and them not even bothering to play the piano. TBH, I'm not sure I'm welcome in there now. I think I've just fallen out with the idea of paying to get in places.
