Regardless of whether they killed her or not they should have the other children taken off of them and done for neglect just as i would be if i crossed the road to the shop and left my 8yr old alone.
It's fucking disgusting.

You wouldn't get done for neglect if you crossed the road and left your 8 year old alone though would you? I'm pretty sure I was aloud to wander off a bit when I was 8. Not too far but still round the back of the house, playing football in the ally. And if my mum popping out round the corner then I'm pretty sure I was left on my own for 5 mins.

the world has changed, its not safe anymore... i guess it never was but there was more togetherness back in the day maybe?

Im sorry but i dont know a mother who would swan off to dinner n leaving her kids unattended.... you either get a babysitter in ALL night or take them with you.
Personally i wouldnt leave my child with some strange person on holiday either... but thats me.
I never had a choice in having my son, but nor did he have a choice in coming into this world so whilst he is here i will do my best to make it as safe for him as i can - as a mother its my job, and it is not in my job discrition to bugger off when it suits me.

Fuck me! There's a lot of Sun readers on here today isn't there?

I don't know if they are responsible for her death or not, but to castigate them because they went for a meal without there kids while on holiday is a bit over the top!

Where they were staying has people who are supposed to look in on children every 10 minutes.

How many of you (Who have children) check them every 10 minutes after they've gone to sleep?

Get a fucking grip..........................
Not really mate they have made this such a public thing that we are all going to have a opinion.Anyone who leaves the kids on there own in a foreign country let alone in england deserves any critisism that comes their way

Fair enough.

I just think that if they had nothing to do with her death, making them the bad guys is a bit harsh.

Considering they've lost their child.

It's easy to judge other people, but can any of us say we've never made a wrong choice, or decision? Luckily most errors of judgement don't finish up with this result.

Obviously that's assuming they're innocent...............

I didn't mean going for dinner or anything. I just meant leaving for 5 mins is ok when you said about crossing the road.

The world hasn't changed at all. Infact it's probably safer. We just have a big overblown media panic of PEADOS FUCKING EVERYWHERE BREAKING INTO YOUR HOUSE AND RAPING AND KILLING LITTLE GIRLS. Doesn't really happen. And when it does it makes the news because it's so rare.

It just angers me how the parents walking about like they have done nothing wrong.

As you seem to be agreeing with me, I think I'll change my mind.

The mother and Father should be beaten to within an inch of their lives and their children should be put into care.

And the Pope should be shot for helping them court all this publicity....................................

When she is found guilty, does she get to keep the reward... seeing as she'll be the one helping the police conclude enquiries?

If she it was her/her husband or both, they've taken a massive gamble trying to double bluff the whole world and it's media!  How much time was there from when Maddie went missing to when it was headline news cos they wouldn't have had much chance to dispose of the body after that.  All or some of their friends would have to be in on the secret and one of them would have blabbed by now.  The biggest worry is that the coppers, having had made no progress at all, have started to plant evidence to fit people up.

As far as I've gathered from portugese law, you seem to officially declare people as prime suspects or something. Surely the parents should have been prime suspects straight off. Would have been easier to prove disprove back however many hundreds of months this girls gone missing.

To be honest I don't really care anymore. Too much media hype has left me bored of the whole thing. It's pretty clear that the little girl is dead by now. So meh. Thousands of other kids have gone missing/died/murdered/raped in this time and I haven't given any of them a thought.
