I don't think that you should read too much into free practice times

Actually reading into them makes sense of it.
Look at the fastest time in each session. McLaren is marginally quicker when the track gets quicker, ie 2nd session. But in the second session Ferrari fueled to a race strategy type fuel load. And Massa was faster.
So Massa's testing a light fuel load for the pole position and Raikkonen heavier for 2nd place, but the eventual race win.
It's worrying that Ferrari are confident enough to run heavy fueled in the 2nd practice. It didn't happen at Silverstone, they all remained light in practice and fought for the fastest speed ego boost.
Ferrari are quietly confident. I'd be onto the bookies for a Ferrari 1-2 this weekend.

Possibly all change now anyway.
Raikkonen has just annihilated his car at 200 mph 2 hours before qualifying.
Meaning he'll probably take the spare car (not set-up, new engine = -10 places on grid)

And on what looks to be equal fuel, the McLaren's are half a second quicker than Massa in morning practice.

My 1-2 Ferrari prediction looks shot.  Beers

IIRC, Dachauer has an 'issue' with Raikkonen I think.

Last minute of qualifying, so lets see what happens, Looking good for McLaren though

Just been watching this, fair play for Heidfeld getting in between the Ferraris however not sure how long that will last come tomorrow.

As for over-rated, Hamilton is not.  Leading the Championship in his rookie season says enough.

Looking forward to a Maclaren 1, 2 tomorrow!

There we go.

Alonso
Hamilton
Massa
Heidfeld
Raikkonen
Kubica
Kovalainen
Rosberg
Trulli
Button

Can't see Ferrari getting the measure of McLaren tomorrow, unless they're both running heavier fuel loads.

super aguri is my favourite team so it's nice to see them qualify relatively well.
