And don't forget that Williams had the taste of management, so might be looking to be more involved on the coaching side or some management thingy (reserves or youths?)

I don't think he'll play for us again.

because he is old and a six week injury is taking 4 months and we have blackbur ,ifil, alojofree, now almedia so automatically he is 5th choice. To be fair vincent was just as impressive at centre half last year so you could argue williams at this moment is 6th choice

john blackley is defensive coach, so can't see williams have much input there. not sure it's worth a club our size and with our finances (whatever they are) to keep a player who only played half a season for us and give a token coaching role.

if i was him i'd be trying to eke out whatever's left of my playing career tbh, even if it meant dropping down a division or two

We don't even know how long he's signed for do we? Could even be the type of deal we offered Zaaboub - up until January. Then if he impresses gets more.

Will Williams be playing by the time we get to January? I'm not so sure.

I thought he had a good game. Looked solid at the back with Jesus.

Ady must be in a decent position to take over when Sturrock goes....think I've posted this elsewhere, but he says he's known Rufus for a while.  He would be acceptable to the fans as someone whose conducted themselves well......he hasn't made enough out of the game to be minted for the rest of his days and managers jobs are difficult to come by...so he'd probably be prepared to put up with the sort of pointless Latvian role established by the Hearts template.

reg you do talk some utter shite sometimes.
the guy we have signed looked good and yes they did not mention about his signing till the day of the game but hopefully sturrock will clear that up by the weekend.
jesus swindon fans change the record and be postive the leicester story has proven to be rubbish so let just move on and talk about the fact that for once our team is looking bloody good and a manger has been given a bit of a transfer kitty for the first time in gods knows how long.
