sigh....i'm really not sure that's an option. if it's on the halfway line and we lose it he'd get fucking shot for losing the ball.

he uses the ball sensibly half the time, this is an example of him playing percentage football

When he's on the halfway line and getting closed down on all side then yes, it is the right option.

When hes halfway inside the opposition half and totaly unmarked, then its the wrong option.

I was referreing to when he does the latter, which is very annoying, because if he worked on his passing and keeping possesion, then he'd be a real asset.

He had a good game, but was hardly awe inspiring!

Shame he still insists on those first time balls to nobody!
I like those. Just a shame noone has cottoned on that that's what he's going to do and make a fucking early run

i was exaggerating a bit in light of who the original poster was.

nevertheless, i think he did a fair bit better than simply having a "good game". i thought he was fucking impressive given some of his past performances and the stick he takes.

even the clearly audible groans when he made the odd mistake didn't phase him whatsoever, credit to him for that.

people forget that he's only 21.

yes he does make mistakes which frustrate, but then who in our team doesn't? it seems to me that he does an awful lot of good things during a game that don't get highlighted.

he certainly doesn't look out of place in our team, and as far as i'm concerned is doing well considering that he's nowhere near his peak. i was very pleased for him to get his goal yesterday to shut up the boo boys.

I thought he played better the three previous league games to be honest. He gave away alot of possesion in the second half.

He only needs to learn how to look at what's going on around him before he wins/receives the ball and he'd be immense.
