The signings are so unremarkable you can easily forget there was ever a takeover

What a cock, we are a 3rd division side do you really think we are going to be bidding big money for players. The fact we have signed 2 relatively young players on decent contracts is very promising and are both very decent signings for this league :fu:

I woke up, the world hadn't ended, logged on and thought someone had changed the water supply to Swindon overnight. Lots of positive posts and 3 potentially very good signings, Brez still here and our Jim up late smiling for the camera. PS looks happy too. God, it felt good.

Then I saw this thread. Maybe fjortoft gets his from a well near Oxford. Someone take him a cup of tea and tell him to enjoy ...

I would say that us actually spending hard cash on a couple of players on transfer deadline day is a bit of a step forward - especially as there was not a mass exodus to fund the new players.

Both look to be the type that Sturrock likes and I look forward to seeing them play. Cheesy

Fair play to the new board.... whoever they are for allowing us to sign players without selling any of our current crop!

Sorry-a word of caution;they're both a bit injury prone.I am chuffed with 'em though.

I don't think you can class McGovern as injury prone.

He suffered two bad injuries in a short space of time while at Weds, but prior to that and after, he was pretty much ever present.
