Only messing. Mexico Red is a bit of a tef legend, so it's only fair that we help out his record label. If he manages to get in the top 40 in the first week then we can all claim some responsibility and get some reflected glory. And to be fair, that's pretty much as good as you can get on an internet forum. Apparently he needs to sell about 1000 in the first week to get in the top 40. No chance we can do that directly. Probably 30 best from you cheap bastards. But point your friends to the Myspace site and let them know that it's for a mate and not those cunts at sony/emi/richcunts. It's released on Sept 10th Anyway more details:Actress Hands - Boys Need Jazz Label: www.lifeiseasyrecords.comArtist Details http://www.lifeiseasyrecords.com/artists.phpMySpace: www.myspace.com/actresshands(err.. seriously mex? I see it more of a challenge of the tef. If we can help an album into the top 40 then it leaves us lots of possibility's for randomness.

If they clicked yes, it shows 3+ blank form elements above which it says "please send this card to 3+ of your friends who may like this tune by adding their addresses below" (add privacy policy along lines of we don't store, use or even record these addresses).
Most horrible marketing idea ever. It's tried and old to the extent that it's easily ignorable and cheap. Pics are good though.

Pics are ripped from Mex's sites so nothing done by me. People do perceive it as cheap, but it's a proven technique and it works. It's free, it's sent from friends, so isn't spam and it's one more thing that isn't (to my knowledge) being done at the moment. Anyway, just trying to help. Oh well, I'll go back to doing what i was doing. No i won't. I'm gonna get some sleep and sulk, night. Fair do's. I think with massive internet use most people have learnt to call cheap when you ask to put in friends email addresses. Might be worth a try though.

I would buy it, but somehow I already seem to have obtained a copy a few months ago. Happy days.

Like FB said though, it's pretty common. It only works though if you ensure you start the mailing by only sending to friends and family. That way it will generally continue that way, it only has to pyramid slightly to have a effect.
