Spain international Antonio Puerta is in a serious condition after suffering a heart attack in Sevilla's 4-1 Primera Liga win against Getafe on Saturday. The 22-year-old suffered problems midway through the first-half on the opening day of the season in Spain. Medics prevented Puerta from swallowing his tongue, but he collapsed again after going off and was given cardiac resuscitation before going to hospital http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/6964586.stm

They've started the season very early in Spain this year. They don't normally start until mid-way through September because it is so ridiculously hot at this time of year.
On the evidence of what happened in Seville, they should revert back to that next season :?

They probably started this year earlier due to the Euro Champs, and UEFA like all league matches to finish by mid May.

They probably started this year earlier due to the Euro Champs, and UEFA like all league matches to finish by mid May. That's probably the reason. You can't play football in that kind of heat though. It's bad enough just walking around in it!
