Aidan Tynan, the new (Arkaga) CEO of Cork City held a fans' forum last night to outline their plans for the club.

New stadium, brand promotion and so on.

It makes interesting reading in its own right, but what I noticed was that he said that Jim Bob is no longer involved with Arkaga:

I guess that end our interest into what happens at Cork reflecting our own situation.

Or something. Unless the same people have several companies and,...oh make up your own conspiracy theory.

Well, non-one has yet provided an adequate explanation for whether any of the new investors have ever stood on a grassy knoll .... there you go, that should kick a few off  Cheesy

Well I'm not so sure.

I think it has many parallels.

(Previously) wealthy private investor pouring money into the club for years, gets bought out by a knight in shining armour (apparently). Lots of good talk and very bright prospects for the future. We shall see - I will keep tabs on them to see how it pans out in their case...

I've stood on the grassy knoll pretending to shoot kennedy, in fairness beer may have been involved, but I can neither confirm nor deny I am the mystery investor (I'm not).

Hope that helps.

Of course the same principle people could be involved in Arkaga and Best Holdings, but not at the same time - was involved here, now involved there......definitely maybe.

Yup, certainly clears up a fair bit for me. Cheers.

Now you've killed that conspiracy theory dead, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest I heard from a mate in a pub who'd been doing some googling that the sinister man in the mask behind it all is a gent known as "Lucky Lord" Lucano who turned up in Portugal in 1974 with only a holdall with a hammer in it. He built up a successful WMD business but the firm crashed in 2002/2003 when one of his Middle Eastern clients defaulted on his bills. Fortunately he was able to get in to retrieve his stock before Hans Blix confiscated it, and then had a fire sale leaving him with a suitcase full of ready cash looking for a good home ....

Hmmmm, it's all too plausible to be STFC related.

Do you think in a parallel universe Swindon Town play in the Irish league and Cork City play in League 1? That would be pretty spesh.

Away games would be a bit of a mission.

Maybe we'd just be in the same location but called Cork City.

This parallel universe is confusing. Do it's denizens eat nothing but cake?

Cheese Ben, cheese.

So they're basically giant mice then? And our new chairman would presumably be Stuart, rather than Jim, Little?
