I'll be going direct to London Bridge from down here, so when you know what sort of time you'll get there we can mob up and find a boozer.

Innit.

Thats what I plan to do to, seems reasonably cheap from brigthon to london bridge. Where abouts you going from?

Bit of info posted by a Millwall fan on MoS:

Also DO NOT drink around the ground, drink around London Bridge or somewhere else up town.

Why not?  Didn't think Millwall would batter shirters or people that weren't looking for it.

Not sure, maybe there's no away friendly pubs near the ground??

I'll have a mooch around the net and find one.

Burgess Hill normally, but will probably get a cab to Haywards Heath and hop on the quicker one.

I shall be partaking of a liquid lunch in a nice little boozer I know on the other side of the bridge (city side) right by The Monument (about 2 mins walk from London Bridge tube station) - oh happy days !

Sussex, had a bit of a chat with a few mates who've been to Millwall and it's not really a "football type" problem, more to do with the fact that it's a pretty tough area and they are not wildly tolerant of outsiders - so any folk drinking in small groups will probably be seen as an easy mark for a quick mugging.  So the advice you posted about people having a beer in the centre holds pretty good.  I've never been so for all I know it might be a great place to eat jellied eels and have a right old Chas and Dave type knees up but I somehow doubt it .

I'm trying the "you can go shopping in Oxford Street while I go to the match" approach with the missus so I may get to go to the game. It's going to cost me two nights hotel fees in London though  Is our performance going to justify this?
