1. Play players in the positions they play for their clubs.

2. Pick players based on current form, not because they did a job 2
    years ago.

3. Play in the style that they are used to, ie: fast tempo, attacking
football like the premiership, instead of employing some continental,
    defensive bollocks.

I've really lost interest in the England team, it's becoming a bit of a joke.........

Rubbish international football's class.

Can't wait to make my pilgrimmage up to Hampden in November!!  Sample the atmosphere, sample a few pints of 70/-, fantastic!

But I've got no association with the CL at all, or interest for that matter.  I find the modern version of it, where only G14 teams stand any chance to be quite dull and don't watch it very often.

Agree with Rob, not that into the Champions League.

I've always said the media (in England) have a lot to answer for.  They are the ones who hype everything up, and then they're the first to slag the team off if they don't win.

Our International team is vastly overrated as a direct result of the Premiership being so vastly overrated.

One thing Sky do extremely well is package its Premier League offering in such a glitzy glamourous way that the average viewer is convinced it really is THE BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD. It blatantly isn't, and never has been.

It turns English players like Joey Barton and Wayne Bridge into GREAT PLAYERS, and it makes players like Kieron Dyer and Paul Robinson WORLD CLASS. It turns Craig Bellamy into a European class striker when in actual fact he's just a no neck welsh cunt from coventry.

Most games in the premiership are boring as fuck and the standard of our Top players is massively misrepresented to plastics up and down the country every time they watch the match down the pub.

Consequently when these poor bastards all get together and put an england shirt on, and you strip away all the razamatazz and take away their foreign team mates, they are disappointingly average players.

We probably have 3 players you could argue are/were world class, Gerrard, Beckham and Owen. maybe Scholes when he was playing. The rest of them? Rio Ferdinand a world class centre half? you're having a giraffe he has one major lapse a game, at least.
I don't neccesarily blame the players attitude as it isn't their fault they're grossly overpaid/overrated, I just don't think the talent really is there.

We'll still win the Euros though, of course.

Swap rooney for Owen in our world class list.  Owen still might be but its a bit hard to tell untill he can put together some games without getting injured and start scoring
