And it was turned down. Wycombe have said this bid was derisory. Town may go back with a higher bid although Franchise are going to bid £675,000 according to the WDP

The positive thing is we at least seem to be genuinely prepared to pay this much for someone (allowing for Press exaggeration, that is)

we cant compete with the fee put up by MK ... another target bites the dust ... unless Easter is really against a move to MK .. which he wont be as they are paying shit loads in wages as well ..

Having 125K+ to spend is a darn sight better than having 0. If MK do bid that much it's over, but I'd be suprised if we really thought they'd sell up for 125k anyway, even if he is in his last year of contract.

Just being devils advocate but they must have known 125K would be rejected.  Maybe the money isn't there.

For example I hereby offer Ralphy £2000 for his (sporty) type Honda.

Easter is not worth £675k. especially with 9 months on his contracts.  Best move on to another target

Bizzarre amount to bid after the supposed £600k was supposedly turned down. The only difference being it was a filthy plastic franchise bidding so they have to pay vastly over the odds for everyone to come to their plastic supermarket carpark inspired hells tavern. Or something.
janaage's theory seems credible enough. lets keep making bids for players that we know will get rejected. then when the window shuts we have to rely on loanees.
Its so hard to tell whats going on. can't see straight for all the bullshit flying about everywhere. I guess we'll only know there is money once the CVA is paid in full, and we splash out on a couple of decent strikers.
I have no idea if this will happen before the end of August but my gut feeling is it will not

It was a favourite tactic of Kassam to keep the fans happy.....allegedly bid for a name player, by going way under the mark.

More consipracy bollocks.

He's 25. Is he worth more than Parkin? (when we sold him, not the cripple version of 2007) Is he fuck.

His true value is closer to our alleged bid than MK's

Easter probably is worth more than Parkin, because he has pace. I don't think he's the better player but pacy strikers always pick up a higher fee don't they.
Agree he isn't worth £675k though, but they've got money to burn from selling that diving twat.

You keep making these comments but what are your sources?  Do you have any?  I'm not having a dig just curious whether there is any backbone behind these statements.
