Anyone who says Blair is only getting in the side because his old man is the Gaffer is talking shit.
Sturrock Snr thinks Sturrock Jnr is his best option at the moment. The fact that he's his son does not come into it. In the next week or so we will sign a couple of strikers and Blair will get dropped and all those jerk offs will have to shut the fuck up.

It would be nice to see Arieta play a full 90 minutes against proper opposition. I would hope he gets a chance in the JPT. I can't work out whether he is committed to the cause or a headless chicken the way he gets stuck in. A sending off waiting to happen either way.

he's looked like a midfielder playing as a makeshift striker in the two games i've seen.
he also looked liked a guy who played a huge part in both goals Saturday....

How many other sides in Division Two asked him to sign last season? None I think will be the answer. Who was he attached to before he came to Swindon. No-one I think will be the answer. My opinion, is obviously shit but there you go, you know me, talk out of my arse. Why give the guy a contract, well I'm sure you know the answer.

i fucking love peacock he's got that talismanic quality and could be the difference between a solid yet faceless engine room, or one with a bit of spark and that could be capable of changing a game.
against charlton, even though they're of much higher standard than us, the centre of midfield looked utterly devoid of attacking ideas... i recon peacock alongside either easton or adams would look instantly more creative.
roberts.................peacock............easton................holmes/zaaboub
........................corr............easter/someone good....................
that looks like a quality front 6 to me, and considering the strength in depth we have at the back- that team appears rather sexy.

dell,i think we all know he's filling a gap at the moment. his first touch leading to the goal was sublime.his work rate is fantastic too. if he is in the team purely down to his dad, then why was he coming on from the bench last term? he had a decent game yesterday

The way Sturrock Snr wants his teams to play the ball forward to strikers you definitely need pace and Sturrock Jnr does not have that quality, so the only way is to play it to his feet, I can't remember on one occasion on Saturday when he closed down a defender successfully, not having a go at his lack of commitment, just his lack of talent. I would prefer to play an up and coming youth player before him, or an untried new signing which Sturrock for some reason will not do.

Also he's better than Martin Williams. And he scored 2 against Luton.

I thought arrieta did more in the 15/20 minutes he was on yesterday than blair did for the whole ime he was on. He just looked more dangerouse, and you culd just sense that something might happen when he got on the ball. And he might not of let the ball roll under his foot when hes 3 yards out from an open goal.

Blair will drop to the bench eventually and Peacock will go back to midfield - I'm just happy we're gathering points without a strong attack.
Imagine the potential once we get a prolific striker - I'm hoping you're all imagining positive things!!!!
