....for anyone interested, tonight anytime after 11:00 looking towards the NE if its clear, then the aforementioned shower of shooting particles should be at their best.

Helps if you're out of town....down the years I've clocked some of these a few times when on holiday camping etc....

Shooting and falling "stars" are mighty fine to behold if you've had no experience.

On the same sort of topic you could see the International space station (or space shuttle) orbiting last night over Swindon.

it is a space station not a shuttle.it looks like a really bright star and can be seen often on clear nights.

Fair enough. I was at the Check Inn in Wroughton last night and everyone got well excited over it and everyone went outside of the pub. I didn't have a clue if you see it all the time or whatever. It was just a bright moving light.

No its shite now. Fullers took it over, They serve the standard Strongbow and Carling Black Label. They do however to Staropraven and San Miguel and a few fullers beers and real ales. Very quiet now out there and prices went up about 50p. Pretty poor show. They are doing it up in October putting in wood flooring etc I've heard. Fullers Killed it mate. They took out Bitburger, Amstel, Urgdinger and all the decent lagers.

I set my alarm for about 1.30am when they were supposed to have been at their peak.  I saw 3 in half an hour. Still interesting to see though  Cheesy
