Just need to let off some Dons related steam...

Fucking lunch times have become a real pain in the ass, I walk out the office and try to take a nice stroll around the centre up in MK, this is all well and good, I get out of work for a while and get to wander around looking generally important, which I like.

Problem is I walk past at least one McMong every fucking time I do this.  I really cannot describe the feeling that comes over me every time I see some pointless excuse for a person walking toward me in a Dons shirt, my blood boils and I almost need to hit them in what would seem to be a completely unprovoked attack but instead I just end up singing to myself, and sometimes just loud enough for them to hear, one of our glorious chants.

Basically I've had enough, I quite like MK, it's been my home for a long time but it's beyond a joke that the 'football club' is being given a chance to suceed simply because the soulless fuckwits that happen to live near me are too blind to see that the whole thing is more wrong than mushrooms.

Again, sorry, but I needed to let of some steam.

I've always been interested in the blokes over an age that support Dongs.  The youngsters are fair enough but blokes of an age to appreciate football pre-dongs must have some degree of affiliation with another club.

You don’t just find the sport at 20+ without having an affiliation to a club and even by tourist standards you don’t just flit to a club that sets up home in the region.

Yeovil’s right though, fuck them a lot of them seem to thrive off the Dons connection. Lepers they be but don’t pay them the time of day.

I dunno, plenty of people move to a town and start going along to and then supporting a club because its their local team. Its the same as that but the club moved to them.

Still smells a bit though chief.  Ive Gypo'd about a bit and been a tourist at a few grounds and even got caught up in the moment but couldn't ever say I'd support another side on location.

You wouldn't seriously go to Dongs if you lived there though would you Yeovil?

Well I started supporting Yeovil as a kid (all be it not that much) moved here and started supporting Swindon after being dragged along a few times and having fuck all else to do.Id say its your floating supporters who follow a team but aren't that arsed who get sucked into clubs like Dongs and indeed Swindon to some extent.

It's more the disapointment I feel toward people who choose to follow them, like Dazzza says they must have liked football before the Dons showed up?

We're off to the Cobbs today, that's only 20 mins down the road from MK, why on earth did they not follow them? Luton is little over half an hour from  MK, Coventry is an hour, there're a whole host of London clubs a short train journey away...

This was taken from the moocamp:

"I won't be supporting Franchise next season, I can't stomach another season of 2nd division (fourth tier) football so I won't be using your site, so feel free to delete my account. I am currently considering watford or luton. If Franchise stay languishing in the 4th tier of football in a 30,000 seater stadium they are not an attractive prospect, 6,000 crowds (possibly lower now) and asking £400 for a season ticket, I'll pay that for 3rd tier football Not 4th tier football, so for that reason Mr Winkleman, you have chased me away. If Franchise make it to the 1st division in season 2008/09 I would consider supporting them again."

Bunch of idiots that have no clue what being a fan is about, I feel angry every day in MK because of the Dons...

Yeovil's talking out of his arse, there's photos of him evil eyeing MK fans to prove it.

It's one thing supporting your local team because you've moved, supporting the MK is a completely different kettle of fish.  I can get along with just about anyone, but I'm not sure I could be civil to an MK fan.

I've not got room to talk stuck over here and for the youngsters it’s sound enough when Saturday comes.   But I can't imagine getting to that age where you've had an interest in football and then sacking the club off you've followed for x amount of years just  because something more convenient  has turned up on the doorstep.

I see what you are saying but "following" and "supporting" are quite different things in my eyes.
