the league the crusaders were in was what i got mixed up.

looks like his decision to pursue another career was an even better move than i previousy thought.

I don't know would you not give up your jobs for a crack at pro football?

I'd sell my left nut for a crack for the ability to do something in the game but coordination says no

As I mentioned above plenty of lads find the time to play semi pro and still undertake full time education. Christ if it takes you 6 years to qualify on £400 a week part time rather than 4 fulltime on a grant then most students would bite your sausage off.

Meh, at the end of the day the fact he pissed on our parade doesn’t endear the lad but his whole attitude just smells a bit to much of the Keiron Dyer for my liking whether it be us or Boston if you have any sort of passion you’d grab it.

I'm not sure what you're getting at Dazza? I thought he was going to play part-time so that he could pursue full-time education? It sort of hints that he couldn't do that whilst playing as a full-time professional.

That's how I read it anyway.

If he doesn't think he can make what is a short footballing career work for him, then fair play on going to get educated. I bet there are a lot of young players who have drifted into the non-leagues who wished they'd done the same thing.

He also hasn't ruled out going back to full-time football at some point if he thinks it's worth it. The whole thing seems pretty sensible to me. Although to be honest, I've never really dreamed of being a footballer. Well I have sort of, but it was never a realistic dream. I mean I'm a fucking brilliant keeper but all you fans would complain when I went off drinking.

I don't really give a toss, as he doesn't want to play here, but aren't I right in saying that a fair number of pros have obtained degrees whilst playing professionally?

I seem to remember a certain Steve Coppell obtaining one while at Man Utd.....

If he could do it at a high profile club, surely this guy could have found the time at Swindon.

Loads of peole train/get degrees while working full time, I would have thought, working the hours of a pro footballer, it would have been easier..............

Ho hum.....................
