Anyone having a punt with the start of the new season?

Few that stand out for me from a quick scan of the fixtures....

Derby v Portsmouth - A
Everton v Wigan - H
Sunderland v Tottenham - I can smell a possible upset with a Home win
Nottm Forest v Bournemouth - H
Walsall v Carlisle - H
Bradford v Macclesfield - H
Franchise v Bury - H
Histon v Burton Albion - A

Will have a scan in detail tonight and have a sniff around the Far East gambling forums who are normally on the money.

Its hard to do the first few games of the season i find, you have no form to go on.

I may have a look later though.

What tips did you give DV?

Swindon to not score? I wonder what the odds are on Swindon to score 0 goals are? I reckon if you did that bet every game this season you would make profit. 0-0 is normally about 17/2 in matches as well. Another good bet i think.

Come on then DV share the love.

I've always done fairly well at the start of the season.  There are usually a few easy calls and form doesn't come into effect.

i find it more difficult at the start of the season.  Still chucked a few little bits and pieces on mind.

Pompey's probably a good bet, normally start very strong and Derby I think will struggle. Didn't go with that one for some reason though.

I also picked Everton, Forest, Bradford and MK.  Thought about the Mackems but went for a draw in the end.  Wycombe is another one, 8/13 seems a very good price for at home to Stanley, and I had a bit on Blackburn for a longer one as I can see them turning Boro over.

What websites does everyone use for betting?

I have used skybet but it seems to be playing up and not letting me deposit funds....

First day of the season is always a bit of a gamble (well, more than usual)...  I fancy Sunderland to beat Tottenham as well...
