we've all been there fella With me like most just sick of it all now. If something positive happens we can all just enjoy the season, it just seems to good to be true really. Mates fell out over politics last season which was a shame would be nice to just go to the pub and talk about the team again and hear your mates doing the same!

What bugs me is why weren't the board interested in a takeover from the Fans Consortium yet are happy with this new supposed 'takeover'. One can only assume it is because they retain some control and gain 'benefits' from it and thats why I refuse to get excited by this deal and to be honest it deeply concerns me. What would foreign businessmen with no affiliation for the club want with a lower league club and debt ridden venture? When combined with the fact that Diamandis has been brokering the deal it equals trouble in my eyes. This will remain my view until there is Categorical proof to the contrary that they have the clubs best interests at heart.......i won't hold my breath though.

And for Holt to be wheeling out the spin makes me belive that the "old guard" will still be involved heavily
That makes me fucking shudder, and I will not fucking support it

I have a lot of doubts regarding this takeover but i am going to wait for it to be completed and hear about their plans for the club etc before i go on one.
They were never interested in the fans consortium because they didn't want Bill Power anywhere near the club after their falling out.
But as glos robin says what do these foreign investors want? obviously there's something in it for them, as long as it doesn't include using our club to showcase players or them moving the club out of town then that's the most important thing.

Don't you think that's a tad too late mate ? I for one want to know what their plans are before anything is signed. Rearrange these words to find a well known saying ; us river the selling down

Any investment with the likes of MikeD and SSW and Holt involved will only be a band aid and will NEVER secure the long term future of this club

I agree Fred, Diamandis is nothing but bad news and destroys everything he's involved in, just look at his previous companys and that says it all.
I am hoping that as these new owners will have the majority shareholding that things may be different but i won't hold my breath as bad things always involve STFC.
It would be great for these new investors to take the club forward but i have a bad feeling something dodgy is going on and that something bad is going to happen!

From Holt's quote, it says the CVA to be paid off when new investors come in. If that's the case, why all the fuss about delaying it until next May ?
I'll not be convinced until money actually changes hands, and our obligations are met. Actions speak louder than words.
And Gazzza, in my opinion, if 'mates' fall out about politics, I would question the definition of 'mates'
