It was brilliant last night and great to see all my childhood heroes that I grew up with. I only wish that we would offer previous players the chance to be manager of STFC as well. Give me Calderwood, Ling, Taylor, Nijholt, Fjortoft etc over Sturrock any day. To hear them praise the club so highly on Radio Swindon after the match last night was great.
If the FA hadn't have relegated us, we would have had a class team in 1990 and if Colin and Glenn hadn't left in 1993, we would have been as good in the Premiership as Reading were last year.
The rot really did set in with McMahon and King. I only hope that Wise and Sturrock have started a better decade for the club. Boy, does this town need a good football club.
