Fantasy football or fanny gash eh?

In negotiations with four clubs at present but I can't help think it's a load of old bollocks myself.  Nice in principal but how do you keep 50,000 people genuinely interested in a club that most of them aren’t going to have an affiliation with or worse still turns out to be your real team's local rivals.

I can see why the clubs are open to the cash and I’m sure the chap in charge has done it all in good faith but six months down the line the one million will have been eaten by historic debt and 50,000 dissenting voices will be crying out why they haven’t signed Ronaldo and why they want like their money back.

Bit like a Tinternet Franchise for my liking plus could you imagine all the fucking ‘tourists’ turning up at your club claiming to be a supporter.

Lord I hope we’re not even in the starting blocks let alone in the running.

i hate the idea you can buy into supporting a team when you don't even know who they are. good if it is your own club maybe, but not a lucky dip.

if all fans of one club did it then maybe, but like others have said, those 50000 people don't know what club they are buying.

Is it not a thinly veiled money making scheme for the site owner?

I'm sure the supporters of any team in the country would be delighted to be part of this. After all who would you rather picked your team, a professional manager with a good knowledge of the game or a bunch of random Herberts from the Internet?

I notice Oxford are one of the top clubs voted for so far...

I suppose even a load of random internet tossers is better than Kassam though  Cheesy

I thought it was a good idea till I realised you don't actually get a share in the football club bought, just the promise of a vote.

Pulled this off the site:

The MyFootballClub membership fee is £35. £27.50 will go towards purchasing a football club, buying new players and other club expenditure. £7.50 will go towards the administration of the MyFootballClub Trust and the building and management of the MyFootballClub website.

So if 53,000 people have purchased a share that means the site administrators will pocket around £400,000.

Sounds like a scam to me
