Sven knows what he is doing. Seems he has not spent his year off doing fuck all and is well connected. City badly needed that sort of money to stop them getting relegated this season. They were crap last season and had sold 2 of their few decent players, Distin and Barton

Once they have gelled, city will do well this season marketh my words :old:

That the english players aren't actually that good?

I think he's a good manager, but he certainly needs to be backed financially before he gets it right.

Man City were fucking rubbish last year so it's no suprise that any new manager is going to make wholesale changes.

that's he's not willing to pay over-inflated prices that all premiership players sell for nowadays?

A few of those transfers look like a bit of prudent bit of business from old Sven especially when the likes of Bouazzzzzzzzza are being touted at 5 million on the domestic market.

It’ll be interesting to see how he gets on and just how much Thai baht he can blow while the main man is under investigation and his bank accounts frozen.

Rumour is Bouazza is going for £4m, which is still far too expensive!

I think the reason Sven is buying from abraod is the price rather than the lack of quality of British players. He'd gladly take Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand, Beckham and Rooney into taht City team if it wouldn't cost him £300m to do it I'm sure
