A couple of guys at work were talking about which of their team's players were inducted into the PFA Hall of Fame (as part of the PFA's Centenary).
I don't remember hearing anything about this so wondered if we'd had a chance to vote yet?
Incidentally, Shaun Taylor came in 8th place for Exeter City.

On the basis that I've only seen 2 of them play I voted for Shaun Taylor

John Trollope got my vote, anyone who played that number of games for one club, and continued to be involved in the club until the scouse idiot got rid, deserves it.

Where on the OS is it? The OS is completely crap....but it is there. Its also a farcical vote...in my opinion Colin Calderwood is the second best player I've seen in 40+ years, and he's not even on the list. Fraser Digby would probably get a few votes, and he's not there....whilst the likes of Eastoe and Paul Rideout were decent enough, they never wrote themselves into history any more so than say Rowland and Mayes.

I know it was before my time but my Dad never really raves about Rideout - I know he went on to have a great career but aside from being young he doesn't strike me as a true legend. Certianly Calderwood is a true legend, only really soured by him not doing a season in the prem with us. Digby is also a fine choice, and seemingly inexplicably excluded.
On the subject of the OS, all 'world' style sites are the same horrific layout - alas not exlcusively an STFC problem. I'm no web designer but they are car crash web designs.

To get an idea of Rideout, think a bit better version of Lukas, big and strong, obviously with some potential but raw. I'd have thought Jimmy Quinn would have more claims than him.

Don Rogers by a country mile Don't see why should should win by a country. Okay so he's one of our most famous/gifted players of all time, but I think Trollope should give him a fair go for his money.

Harry Morris, 7 seasons, top scorer in every one, over 200 goals, club scoring record and nearly a goal a game.
No idea what he was like though, wonder if Reg remembers?

No idea what he was like though, wonder if Reg remembers? My late father used to regale me with tales of Harry Morris, who he saw when a kid.....but he always rated Maurice Owen.....others from his time worthy of mention were Sammy Burton and "Garth" Hudson. Nevertheless he was always of the opinion that Don Rogers was the best he saw.

My Grandad used to wax lyrical on the virtues of Harry Morris, undoubtedly head and shoulders above his peers, but hard for anyone under about 90 to remember. The Don is obviously a legend, but the contribution of Trollope can't be ignored, the ultimate one club man, and his record for us is exemplary.
