i thought he started off bloody well...but then faded. i guess that's the difference between being a pro and the welsh league

he had a few nice touches and didn't panic when he had the ball..looks promising, would be quite happy to get him here on the bench

Underwhelmed, I think the #10 Arrieta looked a little better, but we'll see, by no means the worst triallist ever.  On another note Blair looked lots faster than before, although I worry with just him up top at the moment.

Arrieta was significantly better then him, although to be fair he has been training with us so knows the players which Shake Mohhamed dosnt. He did show a few decent touches but gave the ball away too much for my liking. I think he'd need to play with a target man to see the best of him.

If we are going to sign an unproven striker through semi-desperation I'd sign Arrieta on a 6 month / 1 year deal.

Has he been shipped as up until that trial game he had the better goal scoring record.

Yeah i agree, i thought Arrieta was the better of the two forwards. Looked determined to win everything, but then again he is trying to impress.

I was pleased with both. Neither really came looking for the ball, which i liked, they both looked good with the ball at their feet, Kaid was deceptively strong and seemed very quick with great awareness.

I think we should sign them both.

Arrieta clearly knows the game and seemed to have more fighting spirit than most euro strikers. He laid some nice balls off for others and played a cracking through ball for Kaid, which unfortunately was not read by Kaid.

They look like they could both score, but Bristol, defensively, like us, were very good i felt, coupled with a severe lack of supply to our front men, would explain it being hard to make an easy decisions on them.

Blair looked good as well, seems to fitter than last season. I don't like him up front alone though.

Tap ins or 30 yard screamers who cares as long as they're in the back of the net?  Strikers are there to score goals, theres no level of how magnificent they have to be!

City played a second string defence due to injuries.

Everyone seems to say in one breath that A, B or C looks good but then equally mentions we lack a threat and don't look like scoring.  Sounds like newer less effective versions of Roberts, look good on the ball, don't score enough.

It doesn't suprise me though, the squad, while looking a little tighter than 2005/06, seems to offer no greater threat to opposition teams (in fact back then we had Fallon going at a goal every 2 games).  With no additions we should be looking to grind out results this coming season.  First target should be to survive, which given the state of the club off the field would be an achievement.  Any thing above about 18th I think would be a good season for us and should we manage to get a couple of really good forward thinking players we can talk beyond that.
