No, it wasnt - this is a myth!

Millwall - 5 games 4 goals
Oldham - 3 games 3 goals

Sure, he had slightly less successful spells at Wycombe  2 goals in 7 starts and Northampton 4 goals in 39 starts.....but it wasnt like he hadnt done it before at all ever.

It's a semi myth.

Northampton was his last place before us, and his first proper season. And he didn't do that good.

Scored quite a few pre-season for Wrexham from what I can gather. including a strike against blackburn

Quote
Wrexham manager Brian Carey says he will decide this week whether to offer trialist Kaid Mohamed a Dragons deal.
"We're looking at the situation," he said after seeing Mohamed star with a brace in the 4-1 win at Dungannon.

"He's done as much as he can to impress me and has fitted in well. He offers us something different and made problems for defenders every time he's come on."

The 22-year-old striker from Caerau Ely has scored three goals in four Wrexham games, including one against Blackburn.

 606: DEBATE
Should Wrexham sign Mohamed?

Mohamed chose to leave Welsh Premier side Carmarthen Town in the summer, having scored two goals in May's 3-1 Welsh Cup final win over Afan Lido.

He notched 32 goals in 79 Welsh Premier games after making his debut for Cwmbran Town at the age of 18.

Mohamed moved to Llanelli two years later, but really made his mark at Carmarthen with 21 goals last season, enough for former Old Gold manager Mark Jones to recommend him to Carey.

I want to go to the next level, being a full-time professional is my target

Kaid Mohamed

"I've really enjoyed the trial period, I'm happy with my performances and was over the moon with the way I took the goals at Dungannon," Mohamed told BBC Sport Wales.

"I liked my time at Carmarthen but now I want to go to the next level, being a full-time professional is my target.

"Brian [Carey] hasn't said much about my chances, he's just told me not to worry about it and to go out and enjoy myself on the pitch."

I think he could be a great signing. He sounds pacey and strong and seems a hard worker who knows where the goal is. From what it says in on eof those links below, his head doesn't drop, if he misses his game doesn't change, he just keeps going regardless. Or something like that. Some info in these thread and article below.

It would be nice if we were in the position of being able to go out and sign a proven 20 goal a season striker from a league club, but we're not, just like most lower league clubs.

Add to that the scarcity of these prolific strikers and you're left with taking a punt on unknowns.

Worth a look surely?

I thought this lad was good. Control was brilliant.  I hope we give him a contract.
