If we're gonna be a 'showcase' club, that would surely imply that the players we'll be 'showcasing' would be quality, not donkeys.

No club would have a whole team of players like that, if all this speculation turns out to be true, it would probably be no more than a few players anyway.

Trying to put a positive spin on things, if we are 'used' to showcase foreign talent, what's the problem?

The way it works is you hope to find one gem amongst the dross which then makes it worthwhile.....Barry Fry used to operate in a similar way buy a dozen players and you might get a Stan Colleymore.

In some senses its only the sort of policy we now pursue,  for example run a youth policy, most  go nowhere, but a Looky Jooky gives you a bit of a profit.

The problem is, of course, the role of manager becomes redundant.

I'm sorry, but I just don't think that is the case here.

Apart from our obvious shortage of attacking options, Sturrock has assembled a strong squad.

Imho, it's more likely that these new investors are more interested in the casino idea, rather than the extremely long shot of finding a diamond amongst a load of unknown foreign players.

Whatever the reasons for people investing in the club, they will all want a return on their money, even Power. How they get that return, as long as it isn't detrimental to the future of the football club, doesn't really concern or interest me.

The silence from the club is causing even more speculation than normal, all of it unproved.

Stop being a lot of fucking doom merchants! You'll have enough time for that if it does turn out to be a bad move, why get a head start on misery now?

The casino idea is definitely a dead duck....our new PM of the presbyterian background, has ordered a rethink on the existing policy suggestion.

Not true Reg.

The idea for smaller casinos is still a goer.

I suspect it’s nothing more than a conspiracy to import dodgy Brazilian’s with Portuguese ancestry and a resulting right to an EU passport, straight into the English game where the money is.

It’s a fairly dodgy game and there were all sorts of shenanigans going on in Italy with dodgy passports and even there was even a sniff at the Arse’s Brazilians, something I’ve been striving towards for 6 years (all in the back muscles).  Why bring them into the spotlight of the PremierShit when you can slide them slowly into League one, get them 12 months experience, which most Brazilians usually require to adapt to the English game then milk that big money move baby.

That sort of nonsense aside I would suspect it’s odds on tits up now.  If it is agents I’m sure there will be rules and regulations that state down with this sort of thing and that my friends is another tenuous link to Brevett’s appearance.  I would propose that old Rufus is the ex-player of an English or English based FA registered agent that would either A be quickly recognised or B end up castrated by the FA for involvement with a football club and the conflict of interests that arise.

   Exactaedmundo

Personally I prefer to  sniff front bottom rather than Arse Brazilians...just don't have the back muscles.

What's the point in showcasing shit players in division 3?

Why am I even arguing? Some bloke has come up with yet another story of what's going on at the club. No proof, tenuously linking A and B and coming up with yet another worse case scenario...........

well, the point is we dont know if they are shit.....thats why we take them on and play them....if they are any good we'll sell them on for some £££

If they turn out shit, we get rid and get the next portugese players in.
