Is this a gimmick to raise funds or do you think Sturrock wants to get the fans involved. It certainly is a strange one that I have not heard of at other clubs.

I wonder if Mike D will play Simon Cowell and be-little the trialists prior to making our decision

Yes, Sturrock's really going to sign someone up because he won a reality TV style contest.

It's a fucking awful idea.

Its more about getting the fans involved something that you and every other fucker including myself has moaned about over the last few years.Everything the club do gets slated and its a bit ott to be honest.I doubt very much that the club stand to make any money out of it and if anything its a bit of fun

It's a PR exercise.

Note that it says the player with the most votes 'could' be invited back to train with the team.

Can't see Sturrock taking a player on the fans vote.

As most of us don't have a fucking clue Cheesy

Macca is totally right. Some of you cunts will moan about anything. Do you really think the club is going to offer contracts based on this FFS?  Its a bit of a laugh and means I'm more likley to go now.

if it's just a laugh then I think Ofcom might take a stern view on the use of a text competition that doesn't really exist - check out Blue Peter.  Misuse of phone competitions is not taken lightly.

I think it's a crazy idea by the way.  Utter nonsense.  I'm not going to Board bash though as it's probably got ought to do with any of them anyway.  The club has produced a few decent marketing ideas over the past few months, this however is not one of them.

You can win a signed STFC kit by doing it. So if Ben Lambert wins it you may have a point about them doing a "Blue Peter"Smiley Smiley
