000 said that the investors had pulled out the day before the statement said there would be a takeover. so i'm not inclined to believe this

I think he said he had been told that the "last remaining investor" had pulled out.

So either that was true and the club are engineering a cover up under the guise of a financial restructure, or he was missinformed or lied to.

I'd say the latter given the Brevett story came out after his post. To rope Brevett into some kind of ellaborate hoax would be a bit (a lot) too far fetched.

I misread the title, thought it said 'Transormers Embargo'. Thank god it's only a transfer embargo.

Whenever due diligence starts, its usual not to have any significant outlays - it could be true, but then even if there was no embargo from the FA, I'd be surprised if Sturrock's hands weren't tied anyway.

Apparently Lambert has denied the story about an embargo.  As he is the sales and marketing manager I would doubt he would have that info anyway, Smarmy Starnes deals with transfers and he is currently enjoying a free holiday in Austria!

If you check on the club website, both Mike Sullivan and Ben Lambert are listed as 'Sales and Marketing Manager'. Who manages who is beyond me though and I can't be arsed to post the link if you don't believe me.

Maybe one manages sales and the other marketing?
