Is anyone on the tree (thats irish for three) network? Do they have serious beef with it or is it ok? I need a contract but want it to be cheap. and it seems when you dont work in the mobile phone world things are more expensive. Sachin says it piggybacks the orange network now so its better.

if you are not on the 3 network tell me how great your deal is and how i can get it.

i'm on Orange.

550 anytime minutes and Unlimited free text for £30pm.
18 month contract but it's ace.

can even have a magic number which is free and doesn't use your minutes then after 12 months you get to have 2 magic numbers.

plus there is Orange wednesday. 2 4 1 on cinema tickets

That is brilliant.  Do you ever find you go over that though?

I pay £35pm and get unlimited texts; 500 free minutes + broadband.

18 month contract and very happy with that too.

I was on three about 3 years ago and it was shit out of town, down in cornwall you could never get any reception.  However since then I believe it's got a lot better, I was told that if the 3 signal doesn't work then the phone diverts to 02 network, thsi never worked when I was on three but think it does now.

For value for money you won't beat 3.  Handsets used to be pretty shit too though.

In towns and cities never had a problem, when trying to cancel it took me over an hour and a half, no bull.  90 minutes to cancel a contract was not a good use of my time, I was livid by the end of that call.

Im on O2 pay as you go at the moment  Cheesy

As long as you top up £10 a month its 300 free messages and I believe if you top up £15 now you get 200 minutes and 400 texts or something.  Not bad if you don't want to be tied to a contract.

I've now changed my O2 £35 p/m 18 month contract (which was half way through) to a £25 p/m monthly rolling contract.

Now get 600 mins and 400 texts and unlimited calls sat, sun and mon whereas before I was getting 600 mins and 100 texts.

I got told that 3 uses the O2 network. My brother hasn't had any probs on 3 anyway.

Im going onto the 35 one in the next few days hopefully.   I chose unlimited calls too but is it just to landlines or any number at the weekends?

* * BUMP * * *

Is anyone on three?

I'm looking at it as a viable option, but was considering streaming music from spotify?

Does anyone do this?

Are their contracts truly unlimited or is there a fair usage policy?

I'm on their One Plan - totally unlimited data and they allow tethering. I use about 1.5Gb a month without any issues.

I was with O2 before and the Three coverage and data speed totally blows them away - think it's because it's pretty much always a 3G connection rather than falling back to 2G (which happened for me a lot on O2).

Their customer service is excellent as well. My signal at home dropped, called them and they couldn't have done more. Kept calling with updates and then to make sure I was happy once it had been resolved, plus they gave me £25 credit as compensation without me even asking for it.
