I think the adver may be slighty more far reaching than the humble TEF though...

I wonder if that's a sign that somebody at the club has upset them as well!! Anyway, keep up the good work Adver, just get it on the front page next time please!!

given the club's constant peddling of "we want to be open and communicate with the fans" over the last few years, now would be the perfect opportunity to begin.
unveil the men behind the consortium and give the fans the opportunity to quiz them on their plans for the present, immediate future and long-term future for the club. let the fans gauge opinion and decide if we're happy, this cloak and dagger bullshit isn't helping anyone.

This up turn in the quality of articles written in the Adver seems to have a strict relationship with the timing of Mr Ritson's departure. Top work by Owen and Steve of late.

Whilst I agree that they quality of reporting in the Adver has increased immesurably since Ritsons departure it would be a lot more useful if they actually made some attempt to find out the answers to the questions they pose. Virtually anyone on here could have written that article, you would think that the local rag might at least have some fatbury-esque "sauces"

By asking so many questions and demanding answers in the public eye it will trigger a statement from the clowns at Newbury, we all eagerly await the comedy.

It wasn't just ritson's departure though, there was also the thing with Brunel FM. I'm sure that pissed off the adver as much as it did some of you...

meeeh. I agree with the sentiment, but it dosnt say anything thats not been said on here 2 weeks ago does it? Or indeed many of the letters that people from here(me included) have had published in the last few weeks. At least they are not being too worried about upsetting the applecart...that in itself makes a pleasant change.

No doubt about it, the Advertiser boys have upped the ante lately. They are remaining respectful and professional, but they are starting to ask questions that just would not have been posed during the Ritson era. No disrespect to Ritson, but he was a one-sided cunt of a journalist. Long live Hooly and Cryer.

The BBC also appear to have upped the ante in the stories they’ve been running of late while the club’s official media partner appear to be towing the clubs line and keeping stum on just about everything if their site is anything to go by.
