So he's had his medical and the club were due to make a statement yesterday, or so I thought. So far nothing.
Anyone got any sauces on this?

Considering they haven't let much slip on the 2nd medical, my guess is that it doesn't look like he'll be back as soon as Sturrock hoped.

id sign him anyway and get some in on loan from Premier League Reserves/Youth to start the season - Jay Simpson from Arsenal (scored first hat trick at the emirates!) would be a good one to get in IMO

Id rather have a permanent squad member to be honest. A player coming in on loan is all very well but then what happens when he goes back to his club? A loan so early on could prove a gamble and also extemely unsettling for current players at the club who could do a job in the position in question.
I'd rather leave the loan option for the moment....

I hate loan signings, the good ones are very good, the shit ones I'd line up against a wall and in true Fred/Tans style shoot the fuckers.

I think the size of the investment is going to be key in whether we sign him or not tbh

i remember when fulham tried to sign john carew, and then pulled out at the very last minute because he failed a medical. they went public on this and he threatened to sue them for implying that he was knacked. could be a similar situation here?

I'm glad. Dont think he was the player to fire in the goals this season. Shame for him though.I'ts gonna be hard to convince other teams that he will be ok.
