I think laser eye surgery, together with contact lenses, should be banned.

I want to know if i'm speaking to a speccy four eyes, double glazing salesman, spectoid, etc, etc, etc.

When I was at school, we had endless fun picking on the kids who wore glasses.

I did it over 2 years ago now. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Can I ask where you had it done?

Hans it is a very effective service right across the board and is very succesful.

I work in Optics and there are several good companies you could look at Laser Vision Europe on Harley Street in London have a good reputation, Optimax are also good and Ultralase.

Most commercial one is Optical Express who obviously advertise on the tele etc and are buying most of the smaller laser companies up.  They again have a good reputation but also have a reputation for being money grabbing bastards, but would definitely recommend doing it.  Yet to hear a bad review about it.

I wouldn't have this done, get too worried about the 5% who have complications, double vision etc.

Fair play to those that go ahead with it though, must be nice waking up in the morning with crystal clear vision.

I always wake up with crystal clear vision - 3 minutes later can't see a thing. Be warned though you may have to wear reading glasses when you get in your 40's.

Mine was with Optical Express through in Glasgow. They give you a free eye consultation so you are as well to go along and see if your eyes are the correct shape. When I did it, is was something like £600 an eye and I believe this is now as 'little' as £395 an eye so in my opinion it is well worth it, especially if you are clumsy and keep breaking your specs etc!
