Thats funny as about a month or so ago i was told by someone in the club shop the logo had only recently been approved and finalised so they only just ordered the merchandise.....................

Ah well whatever their story is lets hope the kits arrive soon.

On a slightly different topic, when was the vote for the new kit?

I was quite surprised when I was told we ordered it in February.

Surely that was before the vote?

I just phoned the club shop and was told the following (Take it anyway you want)

The Club placed the order for the shirts in February and actually paid extra, so the kit would be shipped in by air freight.

They have now been given 3 different delivery dates and are expecting the kit at the beginning of next week.

Obviously that won't appease the biased amongst us Cheesy

Well obviously lotto are incompetent soapy tit wank

I know they have been expecting the kits for the past two weeks or so!

Mind you beginning of next week probably means the week after hehe  Cheesy

According to this thread

http://www.thetownend.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17929

Voting ending on 26 January.

However, there was still the issue of the new club badge and new sponsor, so make of that what you will.

Edit: I suspect the club ordered a quantity of kits, advising Lotto that the badge and sponsor logos would follow idc.

Still think the club badge looks uber shit without the club motto underneath it. I guess they didn't egt the embroidary samples until it was too late...

I agree, I'm pretty sure that a couple of the other choices didn;t have the wording below, which is why this one won.  To produce a kit with out it is a bit crap really.

Maybe the reason for the delay is that the new kit will have the club badge (With motto) on the left, the lotto badge on the right and the sponsor logo in the middle?

(I don't really believe this, but hey, you never know!)

Maybe they can't copyright the logo with the motto so they did it without?

Everything not embroidered has it on though, so unlikely.

More likely is that they can't make it look right when embroidered(or is at least taking time to do so, hence the delay).

are people actually going to buy it then?  The delivery date is of no consequence to me, as I shan't be wasting money on it.

Good for you.

If I decide I want it, I'll buy it.

I just thought most of the people discussing how horrible a delay was were actually people who suggested it wasn't worth buying?  Kits are late every year it seems, it;s not exactly a Board bashing issues is it, I mean, if anything we claimed they had it all done and dusted too early, as in the voting meant nothing.  It's the ruddy kit manufacturers most of the time.

I think only the most deluded on here are linking the delay in the kit to anything dodgy by the club.

It's a shame that we can't have a football related thread on the forum anymore that isn't immediately hijacked by people spouting their conspiracy theories and anti board rants.
