Thursday Update
Posted on: Thu 28 Jun 2007

Good afternoon

I have been in negotiations with two new players for most of today and we are making progress with regards to adding to the squad. However, it has been a frustrating day I will tell you that much!

It's the usual scenario because players want time to think about things but when you are trying to add to the squad and plan for the future, it does get frustrating. I am getting closer to making signings but I am not going to force them into a corner just yet. They are higher division players and would be important to what we are trying to achieve this season. The two players are new, fresh players and I am hopeful that we can bring them to Swindon Town. If these two don't come to the show then I will just revert to my list and continue the search. There are a lot of clubs offering decent money in this league and although I don't like being involved in haggling, it's part of the job. We are trying to bring quality players to this football club, as the signing of Hasney Aljofree has proved.

With regards to Pooky and Nicho they have been into the club again and we have spoken. They have gone away to think about things, so there should be more news on Friday. There is haggling going on, but that's football and talks are ongoing. Blair is now back from his holiday in Vancouver and he will be coming down to speak next week and we shall see what progresses on that front.

As soon as we have someone signed, sealed and delivered you will be the first to know.

Me neither. But I consider it a good thing.

Strange, that after the security gestapo have applied all new settings to my machine, that I can't get the OS, ThisIs (probably another good thing) or L&P ( Sad ), but will quite happily let me log onto this and TMDUFC  Cool

 Shrug

Now, back on topic....what were we talking about again?
