anyone else heard about this? apprantly they are recording a new album and touring in November. Not sure when the album will be out but im guessing at the end of this year sometime.
i like the Verve and i think it's great they are coming back. wondered what everyone elses thoughts were?

early verve stuff is quality, apart from 2 or 3 tracks which are timeless on urban hyms, the album has not dated well at all.

i never liked it, although everyone raved about it, i don't know why, it just never sounded good to me and ashcrofts voice always irritated me.

i like the Verve and i think it's great they are coming back. wondered what everyone elses thoughts were? I like the Verve too and some of Richard Ashcrofts solo stuff is pretty good too (Check the meaning etc.) I'd defo go and see them if they were touring. |

I think he was staying in that massive house by the bridge centre roundabout? His wife's parents live in the chippenham area, he was bladdered and wandered in to the youth centre at the bridge. Apparently he wanted to do some work with kids :shock: When he was removed by the police he gave a rendition of some of his best known numbers to the coppers who were driving him to melksham police hq, apparently this didn't help as they'd never heard of him. And he left his hat behind. |
