Now this is for movies that I was actually allowed to watch whilst growing up during the 80's/early 90's. So The Terminator and Robocop, sadly won't count.

1. Back To The Future (1985) - Without a doubt my greatest childhood movie and it's still fantastic. Can't express my love for this enough.

2. Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)

3. The Goonies (1985)

4. Ghostbusters (1984)

5. Karate Kid (1984)

6. Gremlins (1984)

7. Teen Wolf (1985)

8. Short Circuit (1986)

9. E.T. (1982)

10. Labyrinth (1986)

Shortlisted of highly watched -

Blues Brothers (1980)
Moonwalker (1988)
Police Academy (1984)
Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981)
Return Of The Jedi (1983)
Superman II (1980)/III (1983)/IV (1987)
Supergirl (1984)
Top Gun (1986)
The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

The first list with Ferris Buellers Day off and Short circuit replaced with Raiders of the Lost Ark and Airplane.  Labyrinth is fantastic apart from the bit with David Bowie in those far too tight trousers  :?

Anyone would think the 80's was the worst decade ever for films.

Crocodile Dundee! Teenwolf! Are you people stupid?

The 80's is my favourite movie decade and you've soiled it with talk of Short Circuit. Damn that Steve Guttenburg!
