According to various news sites. Nothing has been announced oficially yet though.

Bad for the top flight in general, he's a class act at the top of his game and attracts other top class players to Arsenal and the Premier League.

Over-rated and goes missing in big games. I bet Arsenal move for Oba Martins

He's 29, probably got another four years in him. 16-20 million isn't too bad.  But Arsenal seem to be going for a young team, one for the future.

Does it mean Eto may leave Barca?

You're wrong.

What attracts foreign players to the Premiership is the hugely over inflated wages.

Good move. They don't want to get caught like they did with Viera again, he must have halved in value in 12 months.

You dont sell your best players if you want to progress.

Agree with dv definatly not for £16m thats for sure. This is a shit deal for arsenal,

Wenger is good but success for strikers in the market has not been his strong point

I thought the opposite. £16 million for a striker past his best, just missed most of last season with injury, fails to really perform in the big matches and may have an unsettling influence on the team is great business for arsenal. With that money Wenger can easily buy 2-3 top class strikers.

Past his best

Missed most of last season fair enough.

Fails to really perform on the big matches, did I imagine him scoring a hat trick against Inter Milan and Roma in the Champions League. did I imagine in playing in a team that went a whole season undefeated.

He's still only 29 - bad move by Arsenal - wont even finish top 4 this season.
