Hooray. Not too rambling and to the point  http://www.swindontownfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10341~1055985,00.html Council Leader Rod Bluh is absolutely correct in asserting that the Club has not asked the Council to renegotiate the timing of the CVA payment.
It is not within the remit of the football club to do so. That is the responsibility of the CVA Supervisor. In yesterday's statement, the Club did not claim to have asked the Council to a renegotiated payment scheme. It merely pointed out that a meeting had been held with Council officials to discuss the current status of the CVA. This took place on the 6th June 2007 with Andy Stephens and Kevin McKinlay from the Council's Finance Department at the request of Marie Rosenthal.
We anticipate that Mr Andrew Andronikou, the CVA supervisor, will be contacting creditors, when he considers it appropriate to do so.

In a way, no statement speaks more volumes than a lame one.
By not saying anything in response to what the fans and now the Council are saying, it's saying that they've completely run out of ideas

yesterday's statement:
"Just two weeks ago representatives of the Club met with officials from the Council's Finance Department to discuss the position with the CVA. At that meeting the Club clearly outlined the CVA Supervisor's rights and obligations to vary the schedule of payments."
today's statement:
"Council Leader Rod Bluh is absolutely correct in asserting that the Club has not asked the Council to renegotiate the timing of the CVA payment.

I think it is called ase covering, naming names to prove they did have a meeting, I would imagine that these people are merely accounts personel and not decision makers.
The line about Android contacting creditors suggests that they do not expect to have the money by next friday as well.

So... Council Leader Rod Bluh is absolutely correct in asserting that the Club has not asked the Council to renegotiate the timing of the CVA payment.
Which I read as... We were going to say Council Leader Rod Bluh is talking out of his arse about the timing of the CVA payment, but then we realised we'd be in a whole heap of shit if we did.
We could have arranged a meeting with the Council, but to be frank we couldn't be bothered. We thought we'd leave it up to CVA Supervisor instead so when it goes tits up, we'll pin the blame on him. In yesterday's statement, the Club claimed to have asked the Council to a renegotiated payment scheme but we kind of dodged around it in a round-a-bout fashion, so we've changed our minds. We've decided instead that we'll say a meeting had been held with Council officials to discuss the current status of the CVA. This took place on the 6th June 2007 with Andy Stephens and Kevin McKinlay from the Council's Finance Department at the request of Marie Rosenthal.
We anticipate that Mr Andrew Andronikou, Mike's best mate a.k.a. God, will be contacting creditors when he considers it appropriate to do so, which in our book means it'll be in about three years time from next Tuesday - if Sandy remembers

My god i thought you were taking the piss, but then I realised the statement was real - but given the shitness of the new site and the fact they've hidden it below auctions, aljofree and 'new site makeover' stories, I missed it.
ok, so now they're pinning it on Andronikou. Andronikou will only eer need to rearrange the CVA if the club can't pay it - surely he takes some level of instruction from the club? jesus christ this is ridiculous

That's an awesome interpretation Sam I can't help but think the board are setting up Andronikou as the scapegoat here when the ceiling eventually caves in.

We anticipate that Mr Andrew Andronikou, Mike's best mate a.k.a. God who by the way we have never met or even heard of, will be contacting creditors when he considers it appropriate to do so, which in our book means it'll be in about three years time from next Tuesday - if Sandy remembers
